Other features of the 10T Yanmar Digger and 13T Case Excavator

The tail swing differs between the 10T Yanmar and 13T Case diggers

If you hire the 10T Yanmar excavator then you can enjoy all the benefits of the short radius tail swing. The 13T Case Digger has a conventional tail swing so you’ll need to be extra aware of your surroundings when slewing the digger around near walls, fences, buildings and other structures.

Only the 10T Yanmar Digger has an offset boom

You might not be clear on the benefits of the offset boom but if you upgrade from the 10T Yanmar to the 13T Case digger then it’s one of the features you’ll need to give up. An offset boom allows the operator to dig next to structures or in tight spaces with limited swing.

Offset booms are great for trench work especially when digging directly beside an existing structure such as a wall, building or fence. The boom can be positioned to dig inline with the excavator’s tracks, which can help with efficient repositioning.
