The Fence Pro pile driver is built for 10T to 13T diggers and fits a 10T or 13T hitch plate. This makes it the heavy option in our range for civil piles, retaining walls and shelter belts. If you only need lighter fence or stock yard posts, our 5.5T post driver will usually suit you better and cost less to run.
The pile driver has a 500kg block, known as the monkey, and a 5-metre mast. That combination delivers the large amount of energy needed to drive steel piles and heavy posts into firm ground, which is why it is the go-to excavator pile driver for civil and horticultural piling rather than light fencing.
It runs off one hydraulic circuit with a 12V or 24V electrical supply and needs a 3/8 inch case drain or larger. It is operated from the cab using a control box with a diverter valve for hammer lift, drop and tilt, so the operator stays in the machine. Our team will check your digger is set up correctly when you book.
No special licence is required to operate the pile driver itself. The operator should, however, be experienced around a digger of roughly 13T, since the attachment is controlled through a large machine. The pile driver is hire ready from our Hastings and Napier branches.
