Looking back, looking forward: our year in review

The pedal has definitely been to the metal for Allways Hire in 2022: it’s been a non-stop year of equipment hires, acquisitions and changes. We’d like to take you back through our year to look at what we’ve achieved, and share with you what lies ahead for us in 2023.

Looking back to 2022

New Allways Hire workshop facility opens

The year started with the opening of our fresh new workshop facility. The building was given a thorough clean and full internal paint job, now we can’t imagine life without it now.

Our Master Vacuum Excavators have doubled in numbers

2022 saw the addition of a second Master Vacuum Excavator to the hire fleet. Master Equipment is designed to be easy to operate and highly effective – and that’s definitely added to the appeal of the Master Vacuum Excavator. In particular these machines have been in high demand from drainage companies and construction firms.

Master Equipment is growing

The Master Equipment range of machines have been growing in numbers across NZ throughout the year. Now found from the Far North to Southland. The Master Sweeper and Master Grader can be spotted sweeping roads and new housing subdivisions and carefully grading tracks and forming roads.

A focus on efficiency

We’ve grown our business to meet the demands of our customers and we’ve also taken the opportunity to make our business more efficient. That led us to end the agricultural equipment hire business so we can focus more on construction and roading instead. We’ve been selling off the equipment and we still have a couple of machines remaining – feel free to enquire if you’re interested.

The mandate to become even more efficient has also driven a focus on using technology to streamline our processes. We’ve adopted a new app that can capture all the information we need in one go and add it to our system: so you can rely on getting the equipment you need with the attachments you need at the time you are needing it. This also has the added benefit of supporting our drive to be paperless and includes a return checklist which supports our ongoing focus on excellent machine maintenance.

New additions to our fleet

New to our fleet this year after a successful trial in 2021 are the Yanmar Vio 2.0 Excavators. These units come on our own purpose built Master Trailers making them one of the biggest Mini diggers that can be legally towed along with the attachments you need.

Our customers are really enjoying the power and speed these machines have got which are making big improvements to efficiency. The winning specifications on these machines are: weight 2.23T ; Width 1.38m (with no overhang making it a true Zero swing); maximum digging depth 2.4m; digging capacity up to 1.1T!

Looking forward

New Year, new look

Standby for the new branding we have been working on ready to be introduced in the new year. We’re keeping it quiet for now but we’re looking forward to sharing our new look with you in 2023.
